A 60-year-old Cambridge man died early Tuesday morning in a vehicle collision near the intersection of Highway 210 and 610th Ave. in Story County.
The collision occurred at approximately 5:50 a.m., according to the Story County Sheriff’s Office. In a release, the Sheriff’s Office reported that a Dodge Durango being operated by John King, of Cambridge, was heading east on Highway 210 when it crossed the centerline into oncoming traffic and collided with a GMC Yukon heading west on Highway 210.
King was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver of the Yukon, Ronda Birchmier, was transported to Mercy Hospital by helicopter for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
The collision is still being investigated.
