5/1: Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation on Fourth Street near Park. The driver of the vehicle, a 47-year-old Cambridge man, was arrested for Driving While Barred, Driving Under Suspension, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Possession of Paraphernalia.
5/3: Officer responded to a two-vehicle accident at Sycamore and First. A vehicle operated by a Cambridge juvenile collided with a vehicle operated by another Cambridge juvenile after both arrived at the intersection. No injuries.
5/4: Officer stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation at Fourth and Park. The driver of the vehicle, a 31-year-old Webster City man, was suspended from driving. He was arrested for Driving Under Suspension.
5/21: Officer responded to a car versus deer accident on E. Fourth near Ballard East. A vehicle operated by a Huxley woman struck a deer, causing approximately $250 in damage.
Huxley officers had five arrests for the month; two were for Driving Under Suspension, one was for Driving While Barred, one was for Possession of a Controlled Substance and one for Possession of Paraphernalia. Officers issued four citations for traffic violations and gave seven warnings, received 17 calls for service and had a total of 54 contacts for the month. Officers used 6.75 hours toward investigations or answering calls and gave 68 hours of general patrol.
