Maxwell’s Indian Creek Circle’s 4-H group was pretty busy at their last meeting on May 21, finishing up some community projects which were funded from two grants. The club would like to thank DuPont Pioneer Seed and Ames’ Sam’s Club for their generous donations.

Marissa Boege received a $500 grant from DuPont Pioneer Seed Grant for a 4-H club community project. In the fall of 2016, Marissa presented her idea to the club to finish the final landscaping on the south side of the Maxwell Area Community Center with river rock. The club voted and agreed it was a worthwhile project. Marissa was awarded this grant in May and she would like to thank DuPont Pioneer Seed.

Sam’s Club awarded the club $300 to help fund the materials and flowers for the Main Street planters. This is always a fun project for our Clover Kids, where they learn about the flowers and plant them. We would also like to thank Maxwell Main Street Floral owner, Becky Pointer, for helping us choose and purchase flowers at a discounted rate.
