The records of the Civil War hold vast genealogical value about soldiers of the North and South. Learn about these military records, what info they hold, where they may be found and how to access them. Sharon Avery, archivist, is our Genealogy Plus! guest speaker in May and will address how to find and use these valuable Civil War records.
Sharon Avery is the state government records archivist at the State Historical Society of Iowa in Des Moines and has been with the society since 1989.
