The Ames Children’s Choirs will present its annual Spring Concert on Sunday, May 14, at 3 p.m. at First Baptist Church, 200 Lynn Ave, in Ames. The concert will begin with the music of W.A. Mozart and conclude with repertoire by living composers, Ken Berg and Andrea Ramsey. In addition, folk songs and spirituals will be performed, along with accompaniment by piano, flute, trumpet and percussion. The concert will be followed by a reception.


The Ames Children’s Choirs program consists of three choirs of boys and girls, ages 7-18, from the following communities: Ames, Boone, Colo, Huxley, Nevada, Ogden and Slater. Tickets are on sale at Rieman Music in Ames or at the door: $8 for adults and $5 for students/seniors.
