Thrivent Financial and Habitat for Humanity of Central Iowa (HFHCI) were present in Huxley Jan. 15, for the dedication ceremony of the eighth "Thrivent Builds with Habitat for Humanity" house for HFHCI. Craig and Kathie Sommerfeld, Kreg Tool Company, donated $25,000 from their foundation, Kreg Cares. Thrivent presented HFHCI with $51,250 to build the Thrivent Builds home, as Thrivent Builds and HFHCI once again joined together on a build project. The key to the home was presented to the new owner, Jordan Thompson, by Jim Shelledy, construction supervisor, after the "Blessing of the Home" by Pastor Tom Prochnow, Habitat Board President. Adam Boeding, Habitat Board Treasurer, gave the welcome and Sandi Risdal, Habitat executive director, thanked everyone for their attendance.
