Windbreaks and Trees for Tricky Places: Saturday, Nov. 9, 9-11 a.m. Dr. Jesse Randall, an ISU Extension forester and professor in Natural Resource Ecology and Management at ISU, will teach this class. This indoor/outdoor program will highlight some of the problems with current windbreaks and discuss new windbreak options (spacing, species selection, planting and maintenance, etc.) to promote energy conservation around your home, farm, etc. The talk will also focus on "planting the right tree in the right spot."
