Mallory McDonald of Elkhart was awarded the $1,000 4-H/IFAA Foundation Scholarship by the Iowa Foundation for Agricultural Advancement (IFAA) during the Iowa State Fair Sale of Champions on Aug. 17. Mallory is the daughter of Chad and Marilee McDonald. She was a nine-year member of the Alleman Aces 4-H club and a four-year member of the North Polk FFA. Mallory is currently a freshman at Wartburg College, studying biology (pre-vet).

"The IFAA established the Winner’s Circle Scholarship program in 1990 to provide incentives for college-bound youth seeking post-secondary education in an area of agriculture," said Harold Hodson of Ankeny, who chairs the IFAA Scholarship Committee.
