Iowa State University (ISU) Extension and Outreach will host an Ag Outlook and Management Seminar in Altoona on Friday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. – 4 p.m. The event will be at the Iowa State University Extension office at 1625 Adventureland Dr. - Suite A, in Altoona. Doors open at 8:30 a.m. and the first session begins at 9.
This seminar will provide agribusiness leaders with a concise evaluation of current market conditions, as well as expected trends in crop and livestock prices and income potential. In addition, the potential new farm program and economic implications will be discussed. Speakers include ISU Extension & Outreach’s Chad Hart, Steve Johnson, Shane Ellis and Roger McEowen.
The afternoon session is the 2013 Farm Income Tax Seminar with McEowen, director of the Center for Agricultural Law and Taxation (CALT) at ISU and Charles Brown, president of AgriFinancial Services, LLC. The Altoona site will also host the webinar broadcast statewide, which is sponsored by the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation.
The registration fee for seminar is $35 per person or $50 per couple. That amount is payable at the door the day of the seminar.
