Spots Still Remain in Water Rocks Camp


Are you looking for a summer activity for your child? Spots are remaining in Water Rocks Camp on Friday, July 27, 9 a.m.–3:30 p.m.


Water Rocks Camp will take place at McFarland Park (56461 180th St., Ames) and is for children who completed grades five or six in spring 2018. Sign your child up for a fun-filled day of outdoor exploration, games and activities. Campers will learn about biodiversity, watersheds, wetlands, soil and so much more through scientific investigation, music, art and other interactive activities! Co-sponsored by Water Rocks, Iowa State Extension. Participants should bring a sack lunch. Fee of $20 per child is required with registration by Wednesday, July 25.

Yoga in the Park


Join us for our second Yoga in the Park session on Saturday, July 28, 9–10 a.m. at the Dakins Lake shelter (70613 130th St., Zearing).


Come ready to relax, release, and enjoy nature. Bring a mat or a towel and full water bottle, and wear clothes you can move in. All experience levels and ages are welcome. This yoga session is free, and no registration is required.
