The third annual Ames Ag Summit promises nationally-known speakers, updates on the ag economy, and an opportunity to network with a wide variety of industry leaders, innovators and operators. Registration is now open for the day-long event to be held December 8 and hosted by Renewable Energy Group (REG) in Ames.
The Ames Ag Summit is a local and independently-organized meeting providing farms and operations of all types and sizes the tools necessary to increase farming profitability. Farm operators and agricultural professionals of all experience levels will access the latest trends and projections in an unbiased outlet for information related to increasing the profitability of their organization.
The Summit’s keynote speaker is Ashley Arrington, co-Founder of Agri-Authority who works as an agricultural analyst and risk management consultant. Ashley is a leading agriculture risk management expert in the Southeastern and Midwestern USA. Topics to be covered in presentations (including Arrington’s) include: financial trends and oversight, land value and cash rent trends, commodity price trends and forecast, variable rate technology and power zone management, farm bill updates, and global ag economic conditions.
Co-founder of the Ames Ag Summit Tanner Winterhof is a long-term ag/commercial banker and comes from a farm family. “I am looking forward to the Ames Ag Summit this year more than ever before. The 2017 Ames Ag Summit will be Friday, Dec. 8, with registration beginning at 8 a.m. The daylong event will be hosted at Renewable Energy Group (REG) site, located at 416 S Bell Ave, Ames.
