The 2017 Story County Fair Queen was crowned Saturday evening inside the Dueland Pavilion on the Story County Fairgrounds. This year’s queen was Lynette Wuebker of Story City, a recent graduate of Roland-Story High School and a member of the RSLTS 4-H Club.
Nevada’s Rebeka Bell, a 2017 graduate of Nevada High School, was named first runner-up. Cambridge’s Dana Edleman was awarded Miss Congeniality.
The Story County Queen competition has been organized for the past five years by Twila Longnecker, who will step down after this year. She was recognized prior to the crowning of the queen and thanked for her service and leadership. Also on hand Saturday evening was the 2016 Story County Fair Queen Jillian Gibbons of Colo, who will be a sophomore this fall at Central College in Pella.
