Collin Fopma of Huxley and Miranda Schouten of Polk City were named to the dean’s list at Kirkwood Community College for the fall 2013 semester.These students have achieved a 3.3 grade point average or higher after completing 12 or more credit hours with the college. Schouten and Fopma are working toward an AA in liberal arts.

Upper Iowa University is pleased to announce that Dale Higgins of Maxwell graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in public administration in October. Summa cum laude is awarded to those with a 3.8 to 4.0 GPA.

Nina Morris of Maxwell has been accepted to Cornell College and also earned the Dean’s Scholarship.
